Paulo Dybala: A Phenomenal Argentinian

Football has introduced many excellent players to the world; one of them is Paulo Dybala, an Argentinian lad. He was born on November 15, 1993, in Laguna Larga, Cordoba, Argentina. He is an agile player known for his vision and ability to score goals. HE can play as a winger as well as an attacking midfielder. He wears the same shirt, no.21, for both AS Roma and Argentina national football teams. He is known as ‘La Joya’ (The Jewel).

Argentinian club Instituto and Argentina national team

At the age of 10, Paulo Dybala joined the youth team of Instituto In 2003, where he played till 2011. Then he joined senior team of Instituto and played one year till 2012 where he managed to score 17 goals in 40 matches for Instituto club, which is an Argentinian club based cordoba. Dybala made his Argentina national team debut on October 13th 2015. In 2018, the FIFA World Cup qualifies against Paraguay. He also made the 2018 World Cup debut against Croatia, and this was his only match in the 2018 World Cup due to a 4-3 loss against France in round of 16. On November 20, 2018, he scored his first international goal against Mexico. He also played in the 2019 Copa America and won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina and Lionel Messi. He has scored only three goals in his 38 matches for Argentina so far.

Serie A experience with Palermo

La Joya was signed by Italian club Palermo in 2012 with a transfer fee of roughly 8.64 million euros. He made his debut against Lazio. On November 11, 2012, he managed to score his first goal for Palermo against another Italian Club, Sampdoria. For his exceptional performances at Palermo, Dybala got the attention of many giant European clubs. He played for Palermo from 2012 to 2015, scoring 21 goals in 89 appearances.

Joining Italian giants Juventus

Juventus is among the most significant clubs ever, having won many domestic and European trophies. With the staggering fee of 32 million cars, Juventus confirmed the signing of Argentinian lad Dybala on June 4, 2015. He made his Juventus debut on August 8, 2015, against Lazia in the Italian football supercup, Supercoppa Italiana. He scored his first league goal for Juventus on August 30, 2015, against another renowned Italian club, Roma.

He scored the UEFA Champions League’s first goal on February 23, 2016, against German giant Bayern Munian, which resulted in a 2-2 draw at home ground, Allianz Stadium. Dybala was Juventus’ top scorer with 23 goals in all competitions and 19 in Serie A in the season 2015-16as. The club clinched the 2015-16 Serie A hat trick against Genoa in a 4-2 away win on August 26, 2017, and Dybala scored his second hat trick in the 100th match for Juventus against Sassuolo. He scored his Champions League hat trick against Young Boys, A Swiss club based in Bern, Switzerland, On October 2, 2018.

Dybala scored his 100th goal for Juventus in all competitions against Sassuolo on May 12, 2021, becoming the first non-European to achieve this feat. On May 15, 2022, Dybala stated on social media that he was parting ways with the club at the end of the season. He played his final home game for Juventus On May 16, 2022, against Lazio, where he was given an emotional farewell. In his 293 appearances for Juventus, he scored 115 goals. With Juventus, Dybala won five league titles, four Coppas Italia and three Supercoppas Italiana . He was also voted as Serie A most valuable player once and included in Serie A Team of the Year four times. Dybala is also Juventus’ ninth-highest all-time goal scorer.

Dybala’s Current Club AS Roma

Roma signed Dybala on July 20, 2022, on a free transfer. Dybala received a warm welcome from the Roma team and fans. He made his debut for Roma against Salernitana on August 14, 2022. He scored his first hat trick for Roma against Torino on February 26, 2024. in his 63 matches so far, he has managed to score 30 goals.

Dybala is an excellent player who is eminent and well-known to the football fans in the world. He is a perfect example to follow for this generation and posterity if they want to be successful in the football realm.
